Programs & Projects
How we build homes and hope across Uganda.
Core program
Home Equals
Since 2023Launched in partnership with the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development. Home Equals focuses on policy reforms and support for equitable shelter in informal settlements, including Katanga, Kamokya, and Nsooba, among other communities.
Core program
Urban Low-Cost Housing
We build houses for vulnerable people, including at Kyasira Home of Hope for children affected by conflict in northern Uganda. In Kumi district, we have built 45 houses for orphaned children, people living with HIV/AIDS, widows, and widowers.
Core program
Youth Vocational Training
We offer vocational training — including tailoring and garment cutting — to young people in vulnerable communities so they can earn incomes and support themselves and their families.
Core program
Policy Advocacy
We advocate for reforms to Uganda’s National Housing Policy, National Land Use Policy, and National Slum Upgrading Strategy so that underserved communities benefit. Our work includes research on inclusive land governance, leadership, and capacity-building for land use, distribution, and protection of land rights.
